Terms from P to T

POD (Proof Of Delivery)
A receipt in which the time and date of delivery is detailed, with the signature of the recipient.

Said to contain S.T.D
Exclusion of liability of the carrier clause, in transportation documents, regarding the non matching between the description of goods and the actual goods.

Said to weight S.T.W
Exclusion of liability of the carrier clause, in transportation documents, regarding non matching between the stated weight and the actual weight of the goods

Shipper’s load and count
A clause in transport documents noting that the shipper (and not the carrier) was responsible for the loading and counting of the container contents.

TACT
The Air Cargo Tariff – Published by IATA

Tare weight
The weight of a ULD and tie down materials without the weight of the goods they contain.
